[Bethany Lutheran Church] New Position Opening


Bethany is seeking a Property Manager. This is an upgraded position fr9m the Position of Sexton, which this position will replace. Property Manager

Position:         Property Manager

Status:            Part Time, non-exempt (15-18 Hours per Week)

Reports to:     Senior Pastor

Supervises:     Contract Workers

Purpose:         To provide high-quality, consistent facilities management that seeks to assure that property is well maintained

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and administer facilities related policies and procedures
    1. Oversee all facilities for proper usage
    2. Perform/provide for all repair/maintenance needs and assign to appropriate parties
    3. Meet with contractors, as needed, to obtain bids for repairs and maintenance
    4. Serve as communication link between staff, property team and cleaning service, and landscaping/snowplowing service
    5. Review and maintain compliance with all facility leases
    6. Review and maintain all equipment leases
    7. Provide room set-up and take down as needed
    8. Provide for opening and closing the building on Sunday morning and evening
    9. Other duties as may be assigned

 Administrative:

  1. Assure compliance with licensing regulations, state and federal laws
  2. Carry out position in relation to the by-laws, continuing resolutions and policies
    1. Provide monthly reports to Property Team and Council
    2. Attend monthly Property Team Meetings

 Qualifications:

  1. A person who supports the faith positon and practices of the Lutheran Church and this congregation
  2. Mechanical and maintenance skills
  3. Five (5) or more years of experience with maintenance and repair work
  4. Experience in working with contract workers
  5. Willingness to work with volunteer leaders and workers
  6. Budget management
  7. Ability to work collegially with staff
