[Bethany Lutheran Church] From Sunday: the Confirmation class's Psalm 148

Dear sisters and brothers of Bethany,

Some of you asked for a copy of the "Mad Libs" psalm from Sunday morning! Here it is, for your enjoyment. I've also included the "mad libs" form, so you could write your own.

Thank you to Emily Bromley and Caleb Smith for reading it during worship!

Peace,

Pr. Carrie

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from New York; praise him in Pakistan!

Praise him, all his walruses;

praise him, all his quadricorns!

Praise him, astronauts and Pluto,

praise him, all you slimy planets!

Praise him, you dry Mars, and you dogs above Mars!

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he commanded and they were created. He established them forever and ever; he fixed their bounds, which cannot be passed.

Praise the Lord from the basement, you narwals and all deeps, glasses and ham, car and floor, cold tables fulfilling his command!

Quartz and all mountains, Venus flytraps and cacti!

Shiny animals and all monkeys, sparkling things and slapping birds!

Potatoes of the earth and all boards, octopi and all cows of the earth!

Pineapple-y men and women alike, scary and colorful together!

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his glory is above earth and heaven.

He has raised up a tuba for his people, praise for all his faithful, for the people of Portugal who are close to him.

Praise the Lord!
